It was either turn on the iron and press fabrics for the next project OR just do some no brainer sewing last night. I chose the second.
This is all of the combinations I sewed while watching TV.
On the right is a whole block and 2 folded blocks, trying to decide whether to cut them into 2 strips or 3 strips. I am using 2.5" and 1.5" strips of Kaffe collective fabrics that have been cut over the last 10 years. I would like to get them all used up and cut new strips as I need them for future project.
I really like this combination. The large print is one of those hard to use fabrics but it is great for this project.
The deep freeze is coming, below 0 overnights for 3 days. Monday and Tuesday will be single digit daytime highs. It might feel good to turn on the iron this week and get lots of fabrics pressed.

Neat fabric combinations, Wanda; I love that big print and it's just really perfect for this block...
32 here and freezing rain on and off...as the temp varies up and down we get regular rain. Quite a mess out there...then the big freeze is predicted to hit us...luckily no appointments this week...
hugs, Julierose
I love your combos! You inspire me to break out from my narrow visions. :D We are supposed to have temps down to 11 this coming week. I feel sorriest for the critters. :(
we've had bad weather here ,power is still out most places & the cold is back, the fabrics are gorgeous as always!
No-brainer sewing is sooooooo much fun. Beautiful fabric combos! We've had snow and sloppy roads here in Ohio.
Now that is both relaxing AND beautiful! Fun combos.
What fun and pretty fabric combinations and it will be interesting to see where they pop up in future quilts!
We, too, will be in the nighttime deep freeze with lows in the teens for several nights in the coming week, then snow day and night on Wednesday...maybe!
Hugs!
those are nice fabric combo's - cold coming here too to on Tuesday and will last 3 or 4 days I guess snow too
WOW what terrific combinations with each and every one ! They just sing from my screen. I’m happy you stitched up these last night instead of turning on your iron. They are a Sunday Special for us to see.
What fun - I love simple designs, they let the fabrics sing!
The first of two cold fronts has arrived and the next one, which is expected to be worse, will be here in a day or so. You were very productive during your TV watching time!
Gorgeous combos- they sing with color and freshness. I have been cutting Kaffe scraps for teacup blocks. Kind of slow, but so much fun to see.
It may be mindless for you, but I can promise you it would be much harder for me! I love that last combination especially!
The deep freeze is coming for sure……there are igloos in the forecasts! Ironing will feel good! Can you iron sitting down because you might want to spend the day with the iron ;-) The large print does look great in the “no brainer sewing” blocks and would perhaps make a case for cross cutting only once, maybe?
