I had so much making these strip sets Saturday night that I chose some more pairs and kept sewing. There was one more under the needle when I took this photo so 9 strip sets last night and 14 sets on Saturday night.
I decided I'm going to cut them into 5" sections so I made some half sets for more variety, and also to use some shorter pieces in the boxes of strips.
Here are the next 13 paired sets ready to sew tonight.
I got my large Crooked Cobblestone top 3/4 basted yesterday. I should be able to finish that today and then it will be ready for quilting on my Pfaff machine.
It's bitterly cold here, around 0 to start the day and even more wind chill than today predicted for tomorrow morning.

I can hear the wind howling outside now. I am headed to Phoenix tomorrow to visit a friend and go to QuiltCon. I am very happy to have a break from all the cold. Five inch sections will be good when it means you can use up some of your shorter lengths.
I’m currently sewing blocks from scraps starting with tiny one inch pieces and working rounds to larger pieces. It takes forever to get six inch blocks but I LOVE working with scraps.
windy here 60 mph...roaring...not too cold 30s...but the wind makes it worse of course...
Your strip sets look like fun! We are dreading the low of 10 degrees forecast for Wednesday night, so 0 does not sound good at all.
Today and tomorrow should be nice, but Tuesday night, Wednesday and Thursday are expected to be our coldest weather of the winter so far. We have been on such and up and down roller coaster that I have a hard time keeping up with it.
Just plain fun to see and too hear whats ahead for these combinations. I love my bigger iPad that shows every thread in the fabrics. And fabric prints are so vividly detailed. Enjoy your sewing today.
The high winds kept me awake off and on all last night here; still really blowing today, too. So far, (fingers crossed) none of our trees came down..
Only 22 here early this morning--quite a drop from 6 pm yesterday when it reached 45!! Crazy weather.
We re-arranged our back tv room this morning (or rather Tom mostly did it;}}} ) and I am resting after bringing my plants to their new spots and my "stuff" too. Each time we do this, it gets harder to recoup!! The nice thing is you get a new view...
hugs, Julierose
I guess it will be cold everywhere by tomorrow - I won't go out unless I need to. Mindless sewing and straightening up the sewing room is on my list for later today and tomorrow
It's so sunny and soooooo cold. I bundled up to get the Trib at 6:30 this morning and intend to stay inside the rest of the day!
Your amazing sewing while in front of your TV makes me wonder if I'd be as productive as you if I moved all sorts of furniture to make room for my Bernina in front of our TV. Methinks the room isn't conducive to that.
We're in the low 40s*F today with a low of 27*F tonight. Snow day and night Wednesday ... or not!
Hugs!
The variety of prints in your strip sets are wonderful!
