The binding on the larger piece was done in 3 sessions yesterday. I finished it around 8 p.m.
I cut the binding for this one earlier in the day and decided I had enough time to sew it on and hand finish the binding last night while watching TV. It is 18" square.
All three of these will now join the 3 finished table runners to be used as gifts. I think the color is most true in this photo.
I cut batting for another quilt yesterday while waiting for the dryer to finish.
Yesterday's forecast was downgraded from 4 - 8" of snow to 3 - 6" with our area probably in the 3.5" zone. Maybe by today they will downgrade it again... something they do quite often. A lot of hype when they see storm potential and then reality as it gets closer to us. They also changed next week's temperatures from single digits to teens... in other words, normal winter weather.
The quilting shows up a little more on the design wall than it did when they were laying flat in the photo 2 days ago.

Three lovely finishes, Wanda--they will make such lovely, useful gifts!
29 here; around 2" of snow last night with more on the way later on today--our bit is supposedly going to turn to sleet/freezing rain which I would rather not deal with!! Snow is one thing but that icey stuff is awful underfoot..
Our dishwasher repair person is slated to come today (between 8-5) with hopefully a call before he arrives...fingers crossed we won't need a new dishwasher!! ;((((

Anyone would be lucky to receive any of your pretty pieces. Do you quilt on a longarm or domestic?
I'm happy your forecasts are scaling back some. The stitch-in-the-ditch technique made for interesting texture on the backs of these pieces.
Three very nice finishes! There is a 75% chance of rain here today. The high is supposed to be 40 so that is good that the rain won't freeze.
Hooray for such satisfying finishes! Waiting for the storm to arrive . . . glad we don't need to go anywhere.
the weatherman here is already doing his excessive warning for cold weather next week - the polar vortex is coming oh no! we will see how much it changes by time it reaches us. The colors really look good on those pieces and would look nice on table for sure.
Bindings might be a small part of a quilt but they always frame the piece with a perfect finish . These three are no exception and so festive.
Wonderful finishes and each will make a wonderful gift for some lucky person!
We awoke to no power after 24+ hours of freezing rain but after reporting the outage at 7a, a crew was in our icy driveway and up the power pole to have a look around, then did the same thing further down the street and 20 min later, the power was back on!!
Take care!
Hugs!
Those remind me of the mug rug that you made for me. I still use it!
