Five more strip sets were sewn yesterday and all 20 from the last few days were pressed.
One batch of Tilda fabric was pressed too but I didn't get to the cutting yet.
I trimmed the green Kaffe Rosy quilt and looked for binding. The stripe was one I was considering when I made the top but then I saw this newer green print.
I tried them both against the backing and decided the stripe would be too busy with the folded fan fabric.
I only had a half yard of the green print so all that is left is a 3" strip which I will put in my Kaffe scrap bin.
I sewed the binding on and started the hand stitching last night.

That green works perfectly for the binding...what a pretty color with that quilt!!
16 here this morning but at least the sun is out. Waiting until a bit later than usual to go food shopping....just so cold...
Stay warm hugs, Julierose
The green binding looks great. You always have so many different options!
that binding color is really good on it
Your Green binding is so brilliant and refreshing to say the least ~ and it brings out all the beautiful greens in your top. You had a very productive day yesterday.
I like the way the stripset blocks expand the prints but keep them recognizable. (But woe to one's equilibrium if the prints get out of sequence!) The green is a delicious color.
Oh! That green fabric is just the perfect binding for the very happy quilt!
It has snowed all morning here but the flakes are tiny so the grass is still showing. They say 4" to 8" ... maybe!
Hugs!
Love that binding but I love Everything you do!
The Rosy pattern was one I first made years ago, I have made two more since and think it could be my favourite pattern of all from Kaffe. I've missed a number of your posts because of my fall so must look back for more on Rosy.
I love the look of the green print as binding. Looking forward to the finished photos :). Hope you are staying warm.
I really like these stripe sets that you are making.
