Sunday only project................

I had a few light triangles left from last week and cut a few more new ones so I could continue with this project.

I also went through the box of remaining triangles cut from scraps last year and tried to find 5 that were similar enough to work together for a strip.

I ended up with 18 strips sewn, 2 more partially sewn and 7 more sets ready to sew.  I'll finish the 2 partially sewn strips for a total of 20 to add to the project box, now up to 112 sewn.

Here again is some sewn strips and a photo of the inspiration quilt which has 162 strips of 5 triangle squares.  With my 2" finished triangles that would make my quilt 54" x 60" and then a border added.  That proportion isn't appealing to me so I need to decide what measurement I would like and then calculate how many more strips I will need.  I might decide to make mine smaller.

Here is another group of the Kaffe fall 2022 fabrics that I got.  These are half yards.  I'll show some more tomorrow.  I'm glad I got quarter yard packs of some because I would never have purchased more than that of some of them if I had seen them in a store.

I have been meaning to pull out the weeds that grow out of the cracks between sections of my driveway but when I saw all of the birds there after our rain yesterday I was glad I hadn't gotten to it yet.  I don't know if they were getting raindrops off the leaves or eating seeds or bugs.  We got 1.35" of rain, most of it before 10 a.m.  There were plenty of dry hours for people who wanted to attend the last day of the county fair.

My baby brother turns 80 today so when my older brother and I have our birthdays in November and January we will be 80, 82, and 84.

maybe there are seeds caught up in that grass? 3 of you and all in your 80's and I hope in good health

The birds like to pick at the weeds growing in my driveway joint too. I think it is bugs they are looking for. That fabric is beautiful!

Sewing all those triangles is a daunting task. Love the inspiration quilt.

Happiness is Sunday/Holiday Triangles to look forward too, for you and for us to watch grow.

Your flock of birds look like sparrows stopping by for a treat.

MY LQS just showed that block dot with bright flowers Kaffe on Instagram Saturday. They were just unpacking an order they had received. I was just there on Thurs, but will be near there in another week. I'm going to pop in and pick up some of that one. We have a forecast of thunderstorms on the way, I assume from the storms that hit Chicago. I'm guessing you weren't near the flooding.

Your HST are so fun. the Paisley Jungle fabric is beautiful. I too have a project that I dedicate to work on each Sunday. It sure does help me move toward more finishes.
