Sunday AND holiday project..............

I had an outdoor family get together to go to in the afternoon so I didn't do much sewing.  I cut more triangles in the morning and sewed a few sets at night.

I have changed this to be a Sunday and Holiday project instead of just Sunday.  I might be tempted to sew a few more before I put this away for next weekend.  Next I will be sewing the top 4 rows of the Arboretum plus Charley Harper quilt.  I need to figure out how many more blocks I need and to do that I need to move the blocks up higher on the design wall.

We had a nice cool Labor Day, mostly cloudy which made it great to be outside most of the afternoon.  There were a few bees and flies but very few mosquitoes, none of which bothered me.  I got to see most of my east coast family who came to wish my son-in-law's mother a happy 95th birthday.  The adult grandchildren are going to see the county fair for the first time on Wednesday.  It is the largest county fair in IL and the fairgrounds is on the edge of my town.

Sounds like a lovely family get together--wow 95 is an achievement...
wonderful you could all get together to celebrate...
Pretty soft pairings of triangles you have made...

glad you got to see your family and that they were in town to visit. It is still a bit humid and hot here in the afternoon's I'm hoping it will start to cool off soon - I'm ready for the fall and the window's open

Rained here all day long. Not complaining, but could not do anything outdoors. Lovely fabric you cut up. Sounds like a good plan for working.

That was nice your family got together. Maybe the rain will be gone here today since you didn't have rain yesterday. I was wanting to get outside a bit, but if it wasn't raining the humidity was very high.

Family first is always a priority with me and I know you too. It was special day for your son in laws mother, I’m sure she was happy you could share it with her,

Oh how we miss the Fair in Sandwich every year. It was always a reunion for us to travel back for that awesome Fair every few years. We’re going to miss it again this year. Do you think you’ll get out there to see the quilts ?

Lovely triangle combinations for your Sunday and Holiday project.

SUCH pretty colors in the triangles today. Hooray for working on this more than just once this week. And having family around is just wonderful. Hope they enjoy the fair!

Having a Sunday/Holiday project sounds a good idea. How nice to have a family gathering, sometimes really different these days to try and all meet up together.
