Still quilting............

Since I am starting at the top edge of the quilt for every row of ditch quilting I have to continue to roll up the right side edge to go through the machine.

By last night I had 3/4 quilted.  The roll at the right is getting larger but this quilt is only 39" wide so it is very manageable.

A couple months ago I bought a mini-Belgian waffle maker, 4" waffles.  I haven't had a wafflemaker for at least 40 years and this looked like fun.  I finally got brave enough to open the box and take it out and I had purchased a mix a couple weeks ago.  I made a small batch and it made 9 waffles of which I put 4 in the freezer for later.

Krusteaz is a favorite of ours. It is plentiful in northern Michigan but not here in Pennsylvania. Enjoy your waffles! The quilt will be another winner when you finish it.

Definitely fun -- good for you! We make and freeze waffles often - great quick breakfast from the toaster.

I hope the severe weather did not materialize in your area. I did read about the tornado in Arkansas. We were dreary, cold and wet yesterday. Today just dreary and cold. Good quilting weather.

Buttermilk waffles are a Christmas morning tradition for us and one of the few things that my husband enjoys making (I think because there is equipment involved :)). Being able to pull the extras from the freezer and pop them in the toaster is an additional treat.

Boy, I could go for a waffle right now, with maple syrup and strawberries, yum. Good ideas to freeze. I make a double batch of Gluten free pancakes for my husband, and freeze the leftovers that toast up great in the toaster. I wrap them in wax paper and then plastic bag them. Love the quilting progress.

I can just imagine your table runner on your kitchen table, a fun piece of fabric, of course it is. You always select the best. Ditch Stitching sounds easy but it takes steady speed and hand. Which you have done for years and even more years than the rest of us.

Waffles ! I literally make 40 at one time. I am on a grain free diet and I found BIRCH AND BENDERS Paleo Pan cake and waffle mix. Our COSTCO even carries it. I make two full packages at that time. And they are 8" waffles. Freezing them, and pop in toaster every morning.
I eat them without butter or any syrup.

That quilt is so beautiful. You are patience with all that stitch in the ditch quilting! Those waffles looks so good. They would go good with the quart of real maple syrup I have in the pantry. Maybe I will have to make pancakes tomorrow since I don't have a waffle maker.
