More design wall fun...............
This is on a design wall that doesn't have terrific lighting so it's not totally accurate but close. I had some of the cutting already done and just had to create more 9 patches in some of the combinations. The darkest fabric wasn't cut so I did that and had 3/4" left over. There are 2 more rounds after the dark one or I may stop at the next round, I'm not sure at this point. By the time I get the dark round on it will totally fill a double design wall so I will have pieces laying on the floor to see how the 7th round looks. In this post I showed all of the fabrics and the last 2 rounds would be the fabrics on the left.

What a lovely pattern. I like the colour grading through the 9-patches; a great idea.
Your were right, the black makes the pattern more obvious. I made my B9P in rounds, too. And stitched the rows before I went to the next row. So much more logical (to me, anyway) than making all the pieces first and then laying them out. Made around 2002, it's still my favorite quilt that we sleep under every winter night.
