2nd post of the day, #3 finish for March 2020

"Downtown" is finished, 39.25" x 51.25".  This the third and final finish for March 2020 so I wanted to post it before midnight on the 31st.

The backing is a batik from the early 1990s when Hoffman fabrics started making the batik fabrics.

Yay! It’s beautiful! Is this the quilt that was inspired by Maria Shell’s book? I remember you working on some ideas from her book.
You did beautiful work on this, Wanda! Congratulations on your finish!

What a topical quilt. Lovely fabric choices. I like that you repeated these fabrics. It reminds me that the concrete and steel repeat similarly. I had your background fabric once upon a time.

Lovely. I see skyscrapers too, and love the shadow effect produced by the batiks.

The colors and shapes remind me of a city at sunset. Very nice job and finish.
