Nice and clean, ready to cut. All that is left on there is the selvage from the fabric I cut for my 89 year old friend. My table rarely looks like this.
It only took me a few hours to have piles all over it again. I want to make a yellow quilt so I pulled the yellow/orange stacks off the shelves and looked through them.
I can't decide what pattern I want to make so I just played with groups that looked good together.
Probably some of these will go with the sunflower stack I showed yesterday.
Of course I had to do a value run. I work that way in so many quilts. These pieces would work in a strip pieced Kaleidoscope or a 6 rail fence.
Then I stacked them neatly back on the shelves and I have a clean table again.

I love looking at your fabric collection, it's better than most quilt shops and so inspiring. I guess most of us can dream of having such wonderful fabrics at the tips of our fingers.
I want to go shopping at your house! I really love the fabrics you put together. And your empty table makes me want to cut things today!
very cool - neat colors, a lot of times I do not see such a collection of yellows/oranges. I have always heard they aren't popular but I have always liked to use a wide wide of colors those included.

I always wanted one of those huge tables like they have in some fabric stores. But like you, it would only take me a couple hours and it would be covered with piles!!!

I love the sunflower piece in your yellows. I don't collect much orange - it is interesting to see how colors come and go.
The table looks like a lovely one- to have it stay clean would mean you weren't creating - that would be a real shame- You do such beautiful work.

These fabrics are a joy... I got a Hancocks catalog in the mail yesterday and with this, the drooling never stops. Unfortunately, the bankroll has its limits though!

I have to laugh...aren't we all like that? I clean my studio and it takes all day and then three hours later I already have more piles. You do have a wonderful stash of fabrics and it's lots of fun looking at them.

Ah, to have a cutting area that clean, even temporarily. You have an outstanding collection of yellows! Not easy to find just the right yellow when you want it.
I heard one quilt teacher say "every quilt needs a little yellow" as a spark, and I have to agree.
Your grey fabric yesterday says "skirt" to me! Add a t-shirt or camp shirt of that pink in the print and you're all set.
