I had made 2 of each block so I have another set of them to piece with a different background print. I haven't decided which of the others that I will use for the second piece. I think I want the narrow border to be skinnier in the next one too.

One down, one to go
I wasn't sure that I was going to get this little top done yesterday. I am more than 2/3 of the way through the book, I did 4 loads of laundry, pieced a quilt back, and caught up on the blogs that I was behind on. By evening though I was itching to sew. I was afraid this big print would look chopped up with all of the little strips I had to cut to make it all fit, but I don't think it looks bad. This little piece ended up 25.5" x 37".

I like this piece, the back ground is great.Wig.
I love how that turned out. The background fabric doesn't look chopped up at all.
The blocks look like they are floating above the background ,and not chopped up. Can't wait to see it in person.

I used your sashing fabric as the backing for my Kaffe quilt.
This turned out so pretty! That fabric worked perfect for the background. Makes me think of spring when everything starts to bloom.
