Fraternal twins
I have twin girl cousins that are fraternal twins, not identical. My 2 quilts are like they are. They came from similar blocks but their personalities and coloring are different.
I didn't accomplish anything new yesterday so I hope you will enjoy the picture of the 2 of them together.

What a great photo to compare the quilts You can tell the 2 quilts are related but each has it's own personality. One quiet and the other bold.
Wanda, I thought I would prefer the "softer" quilt. I love the way you varied the color of the inner border. But I am absolutely MAD about the "busier" beachball quilt!
Yes, fraternal twins. One is introverted, one extroverted. But both charming.

Twins for sure but oh I love the beach ball one! Fabulous!
I voted for quilt # 1 ~ But then Beach Ball ~ just pushed no #1 to the side for me.
To me the beach balls are not beach balls but those cellophane wrapped hard candies. (peppermint, spearmint, blueberry etc.) And the fabric in the squares are those cylinder hard cut candies we have in our candy dishes at Christmas. 'SWEET AS SUGAR' this one is to me.

I agree with several others. I didn't think I would like the beach balls with these, but it is gorgeous. Makes me rethink some of my busy fabrics.
I like them both. The smaller one has sort of a wonky look because of the different size of the blocks.I love that about it. Blocks don't always have to be the same.
Wanda, the quilts are wonderful! You know, I think that's the very best use of the Kaffe beachball fabric I've ever seen. I really enjoyed your quiltmaking process!

I like them both, but I think the one on the left is my favorite.... not that you asked. ;)
i like both, but i'm really taken with the beachball one. it looks to me like those blocks are swimming in a churning ocean of color. fantastic!
