The cardinal is such a bright spot of colour -- really stands out!!
We're getting a LOT of snow. It snowed all night and is still snowing. Pretty -- but I'm very glad we don't need to get anywhere in this!
OH MAN!!!....I would give 'anything' to attract a cardinal to my feeders....hey, we serve sunflower seeds too!
I just love cardinals. They are such a pretty bird. The contrast is wonderful between it and the snow.
How beautiful! We don't have them in Europe. But we sometimes have bullfinches. Also nice and red.
(word verif.: ovens)
I would say we got about the same amount. I am thoroughly sick of the sight of snow. And as I write this I see it just started again. I am ready for the Caribbean.
Smart Cardinal to just hang out and wait for food to be dropped to him.
I just love the cardinals! They are so pretty at this time of year when everything is black and white! Oops, did I say black and white? Kind of like your quilt top! I'm telling you! It needs some red in it. Maybe the binding or something. Even your subconscious can see it! That is why you are taking all these beautiful photos of winter birds! I'm just suggesting, that's all.
I like cardinals too and also have them at my feeder - I must say though that I am sick of winter and even though we have short winters I am so ready for spring!

I would LOVE to see a real Cardinal, also a real Blue Jay. They look so spectacular in photos, I am sure they are even more splendid in reality.
We dont see many of the wonderful Lorikeets around here now, nor the little Blue Wrens or the Rosellas. The nasty Indian Mynah birds have driven them all away. They nest in next-door's ugly conifer & screech & terrify all the native birds.
I love that burst of red color the cardinal makes in your "landscape". How pretty! And it was fun to see your Flicker in the previous post. We get those here every once in a while. Interesting that he was "drinking" the snow!
Your b&w quilt top is neat. But I agree with Hetty. How about 1 triangle of red somewhere in the border?? Just an idea. . .
