The plaid and stripe quilt top is 40" x 48". I ended up with 43 squares left over from the 2 trays of squares I showed on Monday. These are all shirt weight yarn dyed wovens, not the heavier ones we sold in the 1990s called homespun.
I chose backings for the batik table runners. This one will also be the binding on all three of the table runners.
This fabric will be the backing for the 2 table runners that are similar.
Yesterday was errand day, delivering some things to the local thrift shop and grocery shopping. It's so nice to have temperatures in the 70s and low 80s and it looks like it will continue for 10 days. Low 60s at night is a real treat with windows open. They are even talking about 40s at night next week.

Just lovely backings and bindings you've chosen, Wanda;)))
We are at 55 this morning at 6 a.m. with an almost non-existent DP of 46! How wonderful is that? Nice sleeping weather--if i could sleep!! One of those wide-awake nights for me...ugh!! Well, a nap will be in my future for sure...
Hugs, Julierose
We're having a few cool spurts as well, congrats on the finished top ,it turned out amazing! the backing fabrics are beautiful as well
Lovely plaids! We have cooler weather on the way - hope yours is here to stay, but I might be dreaming. :D
The top looks great! You have enough leftover blocks to make another one this size or add an alternating block and make a larger quilt. I still have the A/C on because the humidity is still high.
So happy your weather has turned cooler. It lifts your spirits, doesn’t it? I love you plaid/stripe 16 patch finish. Only 43 squares remaining, hmm, could they be pieced into one long strip and used in the backing?
Plaids and Stripes has a nice cozy autumn look to it. And backings and bindings for your table runners chosen ~ look perfect for each. We went back to the 90 degree temps and being engulfed with forest fire smoke. 141 air particulate keeps me on my tread mill today.
Love this charming, cozy quilt and the backing/binding for your colorful table runners!
Our high today is forecast to be 82*F with 59*F tonight. The forecast for the week ahead is much the same. It's more like autumn than August but am not complaining!
Hugs!
I love the stripes and plaids it looks really good. Cooler weather heading our way - can't come fast enough
That plaid quilt would be a very nice quilt for covering your legs in the sofa in the winter.
