Trimming.......................

There are 2 quilts ready to trim and binding to search for.

I decided to tackle the smaller of the two.  The top is all Australian/Aboriginal fabric and the backing is part Australian and part New Zealand fabrics.

I pulled three Australian fabrics as possible binding choices.  I think it will be either the top or bottom one.  The bottom one is only black with white swirls and the top one has a black background with many colors in it.  I'll check them out in daylight today.

I spent 10 minutes pulling weeds in the front flower bed yesterday morning and 10 minutes cutting volunteer tree sprouts and pulling weeds in the evening in the back garden.  It's nice to have low humidity and temperature in the 70s for a few days.  90s are coming back at the end of next week.

Looking forward to seeing these quilts progress! I keep waiting for rain before I tackle the weeds, but it's not happening. We are parched, in spite of thunderstorms all around us last night.

I really love your Abororignal fabric--and the other two black ones are great for binding choices--you have such creative fabric choices in your stash. I often buy just cause I like the "look" without a plan..so--I have many disparate fabrics hanging out in my stash!!
Lovely 61 here this morning with dewpoint in the 50's and sunny--finally a deck day shaping up...
Enjoy your lovely weather...

I can see either of the blacks as binding but my favorite is the top piece with multiple colors. The bottom one bring it all together though……isn’t quilting fun? Of all the garden chores, getting rid of volunteer trees was the worst in my book. Fine if you get them when they are small but if they get too big, they are hard to irradiate.

Love your binding choices and think you cannot go wrong with either black background fabric. I, too, favor the colorful one.
We had cloud cover all day yesterday with a glorious high of 76 but high humidity and rain last night. This morning is delightfully cool with 68*F now and working its way up to 80*F. When taking the mail to the mailbox, the humidity wasn't bothersome at all.
I plan to cut out some pieced hearts for "I Found a Quilted Heart" (look it up) and to sew block pairs together for my scrappy Single Irish Chain baby quilt. Wish I didn't have fatigue to deal with as I'd get more done. Bother!

Hugs!

I so enjoy seeing the progress of your creations right down to the bindings. And these two are no exceptions.

it was 68 degrees this morning the first morning in the 60's since early June I think - of course it won't last - one more morning like this I think then it is back to hot by Monday I think. I like those Australian fabrics.
