Just to recap, I have 2 blocks alike of each of 50 Marcia Derse fabric combinations. Yesterday I took 1/2 of the blocks, one of each combination and the 10 squares cut from the Marcia Derse panel, downstairs to the double design wall. I forgot to take a photo and brought the blocks upstairs to sew. I have half of the quilt sewn now, 10 blocks wide (80") and 6 blocks tall (48"). I can put the other half of the blocks in the very same arrangement and sew the 2 halves together. I could also take column 10 and put it in front of column 1 in the bottom half so the design is offset by one square. Lots of ideas, I just need to make a decision.
On the other quilt I have 2 1/2 sides of binding hand sewn.

You are getting a lot done, Wanda;)) ; this will be a really pretty quilt;)))
65 here and still overcast this morning--still smokey skies...hoping it leaves today.
My son and two granddaughters and Lucy (the dog!) will be coming for a visit today and to go to our beach for a bit...I was hoping for a nice sunny day for them...it is still pretty cool out there right now...
Hugs, Julierose
I am sure you will have fun playing with the MD blocks. We are both moving along with our binding. I got almost one of the long sides sewn at lunchtime yesterday. I am almost halfway done. No time last evening since I needed to get those belts altered.
I'll echo my amazement at all you get done and again wish a had a bit of your energy. More power to you!
I live in a tri-level and understand not doing something (like take photos of your design wall!) because it's on a different level or up two levels!
For now, I'll enjoy your description on your quilt progress. When putting blocks together, I use Mary Ellen Hopkins' method of sewing pairs of blocks, the sewing the pairs to their neighboring pairs (putting two over two), and getting larger groups of blocks together until there is one vertical or horizontal seam that joins the blocks into a quilt top - minus any borders!
Hugs!
Isn’t it great when we become so engrossed that we forget to take photos!!?
This is a fun one! I’m working on binding the five quilts quilts I brought on our trip……one done, 4 to go :-)
I think I will just be doing short post for awhile starting next week and one photo If I've done anything just to let people know I'm still here. I do like those colors
I’m looking forward to this top being completed. Your progression photos are such fun teasers .
