How many strips are left?...........

My goal was to use up a lot of 2.5" and 1.5" full length (45") strips in the Kaffe Strippy quilt last month.  The 1.5" strips are in the box on the left and 2.5" on the right.  I removed all of the partial length strips from the boxes and will store them separately now.  I have used a lot of 2.5" strips in several quilts in the last year.  That box used to be packed full.

I'm going to keep both groups in one box now which frees up a storage box for something else.

I have parts of both labels now showing through the box and this box is now up on the top shelf.

I finished the rose color dishcloth last night and also sewed the first strip sets for a Tilda 16 patch quilt.  I had been to a family gathering where I got to see 3 of my grandchildren and all 5 of my great-grandchildren.  When I got home I wasn't ready for a project where I had to think so strip sets was the perfect project last night.

Yesterday morning I took photos of the cactus blooms again.  I call this one champagne but it also looks like pale yellow this year.

The red one is at its peak right now too.  By tomorrow I think the white one with pale pink edging on the petals will start to bloom.  It is a new plant this winter for me and I usually don't get a second blooming on new plants.  There is only one bud so I'm going to enjoy it.

How wonderful to see grandchildren and all of your great-grandchildren, but exhausting, I would imagine.

So nice to see the family! The Tilda prints will work up nicely as 16ps. The petals look jewel-like with the light coming through them.

Lovely Tilda strip sets in progress.
My champagne cactus is fading right now...and a white one is just budding...
So wonderful to see your grands and great-grands....[no "greats" here as yet...;)))]
16 cold degrees here this morning...hoping this will be the last of the arctic blast for a while...hugs, Julierose

What a special time with family. I bet those grands and great-grands charged the atmosphere with lots of energy. No wonder you wanted to work on no-think stitching.

How wonderful to get to see some of your grandchildren and all of your great-grands! To use up that many strips is amazing. The cactus are so pretty.

Family first and so ‘grand’ and ‘great’ to see all of them.

I can see, Your organization has always been your key for your productivity. You were born with these ‘genes’ for sure.

Cactus blossoms sparkle in your photo ~ my one and only plant has lots of buds coming on which surprised me as I just repotted it in January in Miracle grow soil.

Now that I live in a condo with deep window sills and southern exposures, I’m enjoying houseplants once again. Your gorgeous cactus flowers have me convinced I need to get one!! The are so beautiful! I’ve also been enjoying your Kaffe string quilt top. It’s clever to sort them by maker and width. Looking forward to seeing your Tilda strips come together!

What a treat to see your family last night and perhaps hold the very littles!
Love that you could even sew strip sets after your outing and your sewing each day makes me wonder if I can do the same tho accomplish less despite the blasted lupus fatigue?
Your cactus flowers are lovely.

Hugs!

I bet it was nice to have a family gathering and see the grandchildren too - that is not something I get often with schedules they have.

Grands and great-grands all in one day - whew but also hooray! Congrats on reducing the strip stash to the point you can combine these two groups in one box - well done.
