Sunday sewing therapy.............

My main floor studio is the room the farthest away from my 2 window A/C units so I didn't spend as much time in there as I thought I would yesterday.  If you look closely the 2 corners are different fabrics.  They are part of the Opposites line of Marcia Derse fabric which came out last year.

This is the layout I'm going to use so there will be all white background triangles in the centers of matching pieces and all dark background triangles where 4 blocks come together.  There will only be a subtle difference but I think it will show up.

This is going to be nice! What size are your starting squares? Will you put 4 together like you have in the mockup?

Very cool and very subtle. Love the B&W with the color.

I caught up reading your posts since I have been away from the computer since Friday. My goodness, you have been busy! Good job on getting the Onion basket weave top all sewn together. I will be looking forward to seeing this new top progress. That b&w spiral fabric is very cool!

Nothing but hot and humid here. I only got half the yard mowed/trimmed and that wiped me out. The one side yard and the backyard are not that bad so they can wait a bit longer.

The two subtly different colorways for the corner squares will make this design sing. Did you get much rain last evening? We didn't -- but at least it's cooler today.

I am in love with this already! The B&W reversal on the center/corner triangles will, I suspect, be a combination of "subtle" and "zing", if there is such a thing. It's hard to find Marcia Derse fabrics around here; only occasionally will I stumble upon a few bolts, or fat quarter pack, in a local store. They are wonderful, though. Hope you can find a cool spot or two, and perhaps a glass of lemonade or iced tea!

This reminds me of Bachelor's Puzzle that I made years ago. Love your plan to change the two corners. It will add another level of sophistication and interest. {I did have to look closely to see the differences.}

Appears to be four 6-1/2" units with two sides snowballed..

The fabrics make this block exciting. Love the coloration.

Can't wait to see more blocks together to see the light and dark and see how it looks.
