Free brush pickup starts next week so I spent some time carrying all of the winter fallen branches around to the driveway. I also cut all of the smaller branches off the tree that is laying in my backyard. My brother will come back and cut up the bigger part with his chain saw. They are talking about possible snow Sunday night so it may be a messy pile for the city crew to pick up.

One done, one binding to go
I finished the binding on this one yesterday afternoon. I am glad I waited until I found the perfect border fabric before I finished it. It ended up being 62" x 80". It is hard to get a picture of my Christmas cactus where it sits, but if you move it while it has buds they sometimes will fall off and I don't want to take a chance on that. I guess it is only going to have about 3 or 4 blooms at a time and there are still lots of buds.

It's better than the one in the book! Beautiful!
I love all the 'dotty' fabric. What a feel good day when one more is finished. Rejoice...just for a moment...now get busy!!
Beautiful colorful quilt!

Fun and Happy this dotted quilt is.
I just can not believe the many snow showers you are still getting!
I watched a hummingbird soaring through the snow flakes at my daughter's home near Seattle earlier in the week and was so surprised to see it. Of course she put out her feeders immediately. Like IL. they are still getting snow showers, which is unusual for them, this year.

You did find the perfect border. Now I understand why you waited to finish it!! Awesome.
I love it! It is so bright and cheerful!
We're getting rain, rain and more rain. No snow in the forecast for us -- thank goodness!
This one makes me plain old HAPPY to look at. 8-)))
Wonderful finished product. The brights and offset squares are cheery and fun. I continue to watch with expectation of great things to follow.
I love the polka dots. I am collecting polka dots to put in a quilt for my granddaughter.
That quilt is definitely my all time favorite of yours.
Love it!

That is such a BEAUTIFUL quilt! Where could I find a pattern like that? Or is that just another one of your awesome scrappy piece-togethers?
Very nice and bright;) I haven't seen many pink Christmas Cacti, mostly red...very pretty;)
Complimenti! I tuoi lavori sono sempre piĆ¹ belli!
charming color in this quilt
I love this bright quilt!
The finished quilt is wonderfully happy. Just love it! I know what you mean about the Christmas cactus. I never moved mine when it was blooming either.
I love the quilt Wanda- Did you create the pattern?- it reminds me of a pattern called Mumbo Jumbo- The dots are the perfect binding- As always, your colors are glorious.
Hope that the snow doesn't come your way- It is quite cool here and the snow is not disappearing very quickly. It will make the school playground like a mud hole when it does finally melt off. I had so hoped that it would be gone by the end of this week while I have been spring break - no such luck I am afraid.
Have a good weekend.
Regards,
Anna
Nice to finish another one. You have done an awesome job so far this year finished ufos and working on new projects.
They are talking snow for us for Sunday and Monday too. Last time it all came to you, so maybe this weekend we will blow it all east again (to you).
Oh - I like this one - scrappy and fun.
The binding is perfect - dark enough to frame it, but not dark enough to demand attention!
What a beautiful finish.
gorgeous, wanda. i love this one!
