Multi-tasking day.
I delivered the kits to the store and they all sold so that is about 9.5 yards out of my stash. J~MT asked if I would have any kits like the bright one for sale in my blog shop. I have been contemplated cutting 2.5" strips from my older batiks which will never be available again and selling them as kits, like the bali pops groups. I hope somebody will be interested in purchasing them.
I had a wide variety of things that needed to be done yesterday. One of them was choosing backs for the pile of quilts and batting that I showed in the middle of my nature blog the other day. Two of them are the above fabrics and I cut the selvages off while cutting the right shape backing.

I mowed part of my lawn with my reel mower (no motor, just my power). I think I will get some more mowed today. My neighbor mows my grass for me but he hadn't gotten to it yet and I really need the exercise. I have a hard time getting motivated to just walk around town so this way I have a purpose for the walk while mowing the grass. I hope I can stay motivated to keep it up after it gets hot in the summer.

Count me as one who would definitely be interested in your batik strips for sale. Spring in the Midwest is a lovely time to mow the lawn--summer is definitely more like work.

Make that two who would be interested!
Why not enjoy cutting the grass for now and then, when it gets really hot in the summer, let your neighbour take over?

I would be interested in the batik strips, too. I am certain that one of the laws of nature is that you can never, ever have too many batiks!

Hi Wanda,
I guess I never realized when you said you were cutting strips for a kit that the fabrics were from your stash! Cool way to move it out of the house.
Our grass isn't quite to the mowing stage yet; gotta give it another week.

I used to mow lawns with a reel mower, & it was good exercise. Would not like to do it now!

Thanks Wanda... I will keep checking your blog shop from time to time to see if you do cut more strips for piecing a purse kit. I LOVED what you had done for the shop. How much are they selling them for? Or are they just for the class members only ?

I found that the more physical activity I have in my day, the more energy I have. Wait...hasn't my mother been telling me that for years? When will I ever learn that the older I get, the smarter my mother is!!

It's a good thing I live in an apartment, and yard care is part of the package. Because in my poor physical condition, I would probably collapse under the Florida sun trying to mow the lawn!

Batik strip sets! Yummy!

I would also be interested in buying your batik strip sets. I can't get enough batiks.
