Lady of the Lake progress

I have pieced 2 blocks so far. Thangles can be chain pieced too. Just line them up and sew the same line on each, cut off the one in the back and bring it around to the front, etc. and continue until all of the lines are sewn on all of them.
I cut a bunch of the big triangles and some more strips.
When I started I was just using strips that were cut earlier and I didn't plan ahead. When I looked for this green fabric so I could cut the large triangles I couldn't find any more of it. I will have to see if I have anything to substitute that won't look too different.
I thought about making some of the blocks scrappy and others matched. I will probably try it and see if I like it that way.

Aren't Thangles quick? I'm doing a BOM with Thangles at the moment but I can see lots of possibilities. I love the colours of your new project. Do you have someone special in mind for it?

The greens are so lovely! Makes me want to start a green project, too.

You can't go wrong with scrappy. I have to give those thangles a try sometime. Quick and easy is great in my books.

Hi Wanda,
Lady of the Lake is one of my favorites, I'm eager to see your version.
I was checking out the list of books you have read. May I recommend Plain Truth by Jodie Picoult? She has written many but that is the title I always recommend first. Would you recomend the series by Stephanie Meyer? Normally, vampire stories bore me after a few chapters... the "leap of faith" is difficult to maintain in my opinion.
thanks for being so great about posting on your blog... it is nice to know someone out-there is making progress!

Hi Wanda, I chain pieced my Thangles when I used them. It was so much easier that way.

Hi Wanda,
The green in the blocks is very "springy" as others have mentioned. Is it really as glowy as the photos suggest?

I haven't seen much green around here yet; finally getting to the 40-50's.

Hey Wanda -
I might have that fabric - how much do you need?
I'm making a green/neutral pineapple quilt and I'm using greens, but trust me, I have plenty!!
