Adding more greens

I decided to add some non-batik greens into this quilt. I was getting bored with the variety so far. I am still using the same light batiks with the new greens. It rained all morning yesterday and let up just in time to get my mother to her Dr. appointment. It rained some more later in the day. Today we have a funeral to go to, one of my aunts. She was the last of my dad's generation. Now my parents are the last 2 left on both sides of the family.

We woke up to pouring rain and I think it's going to rain off and on all day. It's not all bad though. It will clear out some of the pollen so I'll have a good day amid pollen season!

I'm sorry to hear about your aunt. I hope your parents are doing okay. It's hard to see the last of your generations passing.

I really like your Easter Cross quilt - and the green one too! I am sorry about your Aunt, but I hope you have lots of happy memories to talk about.

Condolences and hugs for your loss.

Last night started with rain, but now we have a couple inches of wet snow. Just when we thought it was safe to use that S word...

My sympathy about your aunt. My parents are also the last two left on both sides of the family. It's like getting too close. We have to enjoy every moment with our loved ones.

Apart from being dear to us by relations, old people have the treasure of memory. I should have asked my Mom so much more. This generation were witnesses with valuable knowledge of dramatic changes.

I've never commented before, but I wanted to tell you that you and your quilts are truly an inspiration to me. You accomplish so much, wich such beautiful results!

Hi Wanda,
The darker greens remind me of majolica pottery (just read an article that said some majolica with the darker and lighter layered greens appear to be underwater).
Just like your lady of the lake.

Those greens will add some more pazzazz to your quilt. Sorry to hear about your aunt. It is sad for people as their family all goes before them.

I always feel green is a very postive colour.

I'm sorry about your aunt. Your parents must feel very alone now. You are so fortunate to have them both. I like the green. Of course, I like EVERYTHING you do!!
