I have several quilt tops in progress, at all different stages, and I'm not sure any of them will be a finished top for this month.
Yesterday I decided to work on the Marcia Derse 16 patch and have this group ready to slice into segments to make blocks.
I pressed more fabric and cut more strips and got pairs sewn together.
I had PT in the morning instead of afternoon yesterday. It is helping my sciatic problems but it's still undetermined if there is another problem in my lower back. I have gone to 6 of 10 sessions now.
When I filled the bird feeders at sunset I noticed the Brown-eyed Susans are starting to bloom. It should be a mass of yellow in a few days.
On the path back to the house, the Tiger Lilies are just finishing up their season and the Black-eyed Susans are in full bloom.
One more day of heat and humidity and the Canadian air should be headed this way.

LOVE brown-eyed Susans! I have to google Marcia Derse 16 patch. Haven't heard of her.
That last photo is exactly my dream garden! What do you do at your PT? It's nice to look forward to cooler temps this time of year, right? :D
The Marcia Derse segments look very modern...nice matchings;)))
Very sultry here this morning with 74 "wake up" degrees and 73.9 dew point--so--ugh!! Our AC is getting a workout this season...
I have finally gotten all my Kawandi pieces pinned in place--so now just stitching...hugs, Julierose
That red MD fabric is speaking to me! It will add a nice punch. Your garden is looking so pretty! My poor coneflowers are fading in color with all this heat.
sometimes playing with the quilts is as satisfying as finishing one. I hope the PT continues to help - have they tried injections also?
I've had good help from gentle chiropractors, anti-inflammatory supplements (Magnesium...), and a percussive massager (with hubby using it on my back -- there's a learning curve).

It's always a pleasure to visit your blog, abundant with photos of quilts, flowers, skies gardens, fabrics. Thank you! (and pls forgive my mispelling and deletions earlier today!)
Always wonderfully productive, Wanda, and you have the most delightful stash to raid as needed!!
My computer monitor died so am just now back in business. Will catch up with what I missed.
