Cutting....................

A friend and I are making a Marcia Derse fabric quilt so while I have all of the fabrics out, I'm cutting 2.5" strips for a 16 patch.  I'm cutting duplicates of lots of them so I will have extras if I don't find enough variety for just one strip of each.  Each pair of fabrics makes 2 blocks so it is easy to figure how many strips you need.  If you are making 80 blocks you need 80 strips, with 2 strips paired making 2 blocks you will end up with 40 pairs, or in other words 2 blocks alike of each pair of fabrics.

I started putting the pieces for the other quilt up on a design wall but I'm not totally happy with the assortment of colors, so I'm cutting more fabrics to mix in.

I'm finally seeing little tomatoes in the top branches of my tomato plants.  The hot weather created tall skinny plants and now a few more normal days in the 82 to 85 range have the plants producing again.  There are still a couple 90s popping up in the future forecast.

And now you've got me wanting to get out all my Marcia Derse fabrics and make a triangle quilt!!! You are such an enabler!

Those strips look like a painting! I like your triangles. My tomatoes still have a few tomatoes to ripen but the plants don't look that great. Looks like the hot, hot weather is about the set in, but at least it is later for us than usual.

MD fabrics are so interesting--I only have a few but looking for ways to mix them in with the rest of my stash...
My tomatoes are still pretty smallish and green...so hoping to get eatable ones for those toasted tomato sandwiches I love!:)))
Rainy here and 72 , I will give the treadmill a try this morning--my legs need to stretch out a bit...hugs, Julierose

What a glorious array of colorful triangles, Wanda!!
If you can believe it, we got nearly another inch of torrential rain last evening for a July total of 6.5" of rain so far.

Hugs!
