Almost all of the small pieces of Kaffe fabrics are now cut. There is no project in mind, just prep for when the whim strikes.
This was the first 2 hours of cutting, in the morning yesterday, 2.5" squares and triangles. I decide to not cut rectangles.
In the evening I spent another hour cutting 3.5" squares, 3.5" x 6.5" rectangles and 2" squares. There is another group of fabric I need to cut into 2" squares so maybe that will be today's project. I didn't feel like turning on the iron so I haven't cut the Marcia Derse 2.5" strips yet.
Well, its days are numbered now. The Tiger Lily in the crack of the sidewalk has started to bloom. The Maple tree will be removed too. Probably about a week from now they will be gone.
There is one lonely Evening Primrose blooming in the back garden. All of the rest of them bloomed over a month ago.
It's official now, all four volunteer plants are Sungold. They all have at least one bunch of tomatoes growing on them.

Lovely groups of cut fabrics for you to use, Wanda:)))
I am hand quilting still on Christmas Ojos--I have 4 1/2 blocks left on the 2nd to last row around --then the final row...making progress...;))) as I rest up. Good to have a project...
70 here overnight (another sleepless one pretty much!!) and a bit of mizzling rain around...
That tiger lily is so pretty--mine has faded away and I just have one or two blooms on my day lily...I hope your Sunday is a good one...hugs, Julierose
The sidewalk crack plants look good. I've seen sidewalks lifted up from trees growing too close, so you are wise to get rid of it. My volunteer Sungold is still producing, although I noticed yesterday that the tomatoes are getting smaller. I'm about ready to pull up my tomatoes. Too much to try to keep the garden watered. The zinnias and sunflowers will do well in spite of the heat.
What wonderful cuts of the fabric, each one so unique. It has been so dry here that the garden flowers look faded. Only the box flowers look happy. Only so much you can water!
Your “days are numbered” comment made me laugh. Congrats on the cutting. Takes time but oh so wonderful to have at the ready when an idea appears.
Too bad the maple tree didn't grow in a spot it could stay. I find sometimes the trees that come up without you planting them are the strongest. The fabric pieces are so pretty you will come up with a couple projects to use them in I'm sure.
You captured beauty in each of your precut pieces shown . It will be so fun to create yet another of your beauties with all of them. ~ Maple tree and lily emerge from a crack in your sidewalk. What a cozy spot for them to grow. But they picked the wrong spot.
How marvelous that you have these fabrics waiting in the wings for inspiration to strike sometime in the days ahead!
A couple of weeks ago, I moved my 24"x 36" cutting mat to the dining table so I could cut the squares for the 9 patches. When I moved the mat back to my cutting table today, I turned it around so the unused long side is near me as the lines on the other long side had completely disappeared!
DS2 has moved in after his a/c died. We've been going back to his house occasionally to get things and today the various chargers came here along with his aloe plant.
Hugs!
