Another hot day..........

Yesterday I found a flannel binding fabric that was lightweight and the right color for this little flannel baby quilt.  I hope I will get it sewn on today.

A friend came over and was designing a quilt on my design wall.  She brought Subway sandwiches, yum!

I had another dishcloth more than half knitted so I finished it late yesterday afternoon.

That gave me permission to start another one (or two).

I cut the black and white squares for another idea I have.

The overnight temperatures are staying up in the mid to high 70s, some close to 80 and high 70s dew points, partially due to our cornfields (that surround our small towns) releasing moisture in the air.

I love the colors in your dishcloth. Our temperatures are more moderate than yours. I lived in the Midwest as an adult for 30 years and never connected the corn to elevated dew points! I learn new things all the time!

Subway is one of our restaurants of choice when we are on the road. We ate at several the last couple of weeks.

That binding will look good! It was 64 degrees when i got up at 5 this morning and the humidity is high. The temperature is forecasted to be 92 today. I am glad I get to stay indoors.

Love the little B&W squares fabric--tiny geometrics are difficult to find!!
Heat is ramping up here, too; 78 degrees this morning--glad I went food shopping early today;)))
i am still slowly working my way around my Kawandi style project...
hugs, stay cool Julierose

LOVELY post today Wanda, I like seeing all your progressive photos, from flannel baby quilt to your black ‘n white check fabric. And every thing in between.

I saw on the weather map last night that both of us are in the heat wave area - I hadn't realized it reached so far north - it looked like all of Wisconsin too and down to the Gulf. Lots of pretty squares and some of the flannel looks like some of the line I used in my red flannel quilt a couple years ago.

A flannel baby quilt is a wonderful idea. Since I work second shift, I'm up late at night. This week I've noticed that my house doesn't start cooling off until about 3:00 a.m. no matter how many fans I have going.

I'm waiting with baited breath to see what you do with the black and white squares and rectangles. I've got tons of Kaffe Fassett fabric and would love a good/fun pattern. Ok, maybe not baited breath --- more like sweaty brow! I live in Indiana --- yikes, we're having a heat wave! Mindyindy (mindylr@att.net)

It's almost too hot to work on a flannel quilt, just psychologically. I've been thinking about crocheting but, in my mind, it's too hot even though the AC works perfectly.
That's going to be a sweet baby quilt.
