I finished the last seam at 11:15 p.m. last night and took this photo to prove it. It's not a good photo, not straight on because my sewing cabinet is in the way. I'll take a better one today and tomorrow I'll post the new photo and tell how I changed the pattern to get a larger quilt, 56" x 75".
We had rain early in the day and after it was over I went out to take some more photos.
My Lamium is doing well. I have some weed pulling to do to clean up the bed.
In front of the Lamium are several pots. One is the Cannas which have grown a lot since I showed them last. There are 2 Hostas in pots also.
I was late bringing the other pot out of the garage and now after getting a little rain there are a few Canna starts in this pot too.
The Evening Primrose, sometimes called Sundrops, are just starting to bloom. I have a few of them here and there in the back garden and also a few in a pot waiting to be planted.
My friend Lesley in the UK has been sending me postcards from her trips and the latest was the trip to Scotland. I have quite a collection now with some pretty neat postage stamps on them.
It is so much fun to get the postcards and read about her trips. I went to England when my daughter was living over there in 1997 and Lesley's trips have been to different places than the ones I visited.

The quilt looks really great!:)))
Nice work getting it all together!!
hugs, Julierose
the quilt is uniquely different - I don't think I have seen this pattern anywhere.
My brother and his wife are going to England and Scotland later this month I wish I could go too
The size of the quilt is perfect. It came together so well and is comforting looking.
I will have to see what my garden looks like after being gone this week in PA. Hopefully more beauty than weeds.
Congratulations on getting the top sewn together! I love seeing the variety of plants you have in your garden.
The quilt looks great!
Finishing the last seam at 11:15 and then hanging quilt for a photo is one long day. Wanda it truly is a jewel, my favorite this year !
Your garden grows and glows…. And adding Leslie’s post card of her travels, is a treat to see.

My kind of quilt! Simple and classic.
I have a shoebox of postcards from traveling friends over the years. These days sending an email is easier but the enjoyment of reading the old messages is missing.
Yep! I love this one. Great job! ;^)
What a great post, Wanda! I love the quilt. Your flowers are so interesting to me since there are lots I never see this far south. And the postcards and stamps are a real treat.
A nice size for the quilt, 58" is a nice width. I love the leaf colour in the Canna in front of the Lamium are the others in the other pot the same colour? You must have a substantial collection of postcards by now and I see one from Torquay - a favourite holiday spot for my family when I was a child, Chester also we visited many times Mum and I, both lovely places.
That turned out great! This is the perfect size for a sofa quilt and the colors would go in almost any room.
