Finally, a border................
As you can see I finally decided on the Kaffe pink pencil print for the border of this all Kaffe Collective quilt top of Economy blocks. In the end I decided the Frilly was too dark and overemphasized the dark fabrics in the blocks. It is 66.5" x 80".
It was a real stretch for me to get it up vertically on the design walls. I usually hang one this size sideways and then rotate my photo.

Love the pink pencils and the sharks teeth!
Kathy
Oh, it is just lovely. The border does justice to all the prints used without screaming for attention. The shark's teeth work so well in setting off the blocks and adding zest.
I think the border you chose really makes this quilt.
The pink border really brightens the blocks, and the shark's teeth sashing is great! Lovely quilt.
Stunning! Hooray for pink - and such a great way to let that pencil print shine. This one is a winner!
Perfect border choice, Wanda! Love the pink, and I love how the stripe of the print works in contrast with the black/white sashing. Beautiful!
Wanda, I love all of your quilts, but this one is amazing! That border is just perfect!
Thanks for sharing all of your quilt projects with all of us who enjoy reading your blog!

Perfect border. It is the one that I would have chosen.
Great border print! It really pulls this together.
Cheers, Linda E
I like everything that you make but this quilt has really struck a cord with me. What an inspiration you are.
O.K. ~ Now I can see why you chose the pencil border and not the ‘Frilly’. It’s a ‘happy’ quilt, glowing with brilliance and fun both. Another of your creations that is amazing .

That border is just lovely--I would never have thought, just looking at the fabric by itself that it would be so perfect for this piece. Just makes the whole piece sing...great work hugs, Julierose
P.S. Getting to reach up high on my design wall is a thing of the past for me--even before nasty Mr. Sciatica came to visit me!! :(((
I love it! That is the perfect border to make it a cheery quilt. Great job!
The pink pencil from Kaffe frames the economy blocks beautifully. How long ago was this design brought out? I have two pieces in a dark and a blue.
It’s perfect!l
I love everything about this quilt :)
Oh yes, much better than the Frilly. You simply amaze me, Wanda. I wanna be like you when I grow up.
Love this quilt! It turned out much bigger than I thought it would be.
I'm catching up on my two weeks without internet access. I love how this top turned out. That border is Wandaful! I'm glad you didn't have any house damage from the storm but it seems you got rid of that walnut branch at jsut the right time.
Catching up on a pile of posts.........this looks great.......love the border you choose also...........
