I had every intention of cutting some fabric yesterday but in the end I just had fun in my personal library.
Late in the afternoon I mowed my grass. I thought I was going to just mow the shady backyard because that grass has stayed green and is growing fast. In the end I mowed the front too which still has a lot of half brown sections. I watered all of my pots. I see a squirrel has been digging in one of them.
Today is the last day of a short stretch of beautiful cooler weather with low humidity. Humidity will start rising Tuesday and will increase our chance for rain at the end of the week and we need it.

Still lusciously cool here. Yesterday, with my lunch, I was looking over my Ruth McDowell books as the craving to do some landscape quilts won't stay buried. I love her work and the fact that it is pieced, not fused or raw applique.
Good for you to have gotten some cooler weather. It has been awful here - very humid. I had to mow last night since rain was called for today. I also needed to put down some fertilizer/weed killer before it rained. The creeping charley had taken over my front yard. I am going to try the fertilizer/weed killer thru September if it doesn't kill off the creeping charley I am going to have to get some profession help.
It is fun to spend time just looking at the books you have collected over the years.
Look at all of those Kaffe books! We can see your inspiration *grins*
Sounds like a perfect day!
Oh, the weather has been so glorious!
We are beginning to experience more humidity today...I knew that lovely, cool
spell would be a short one!! Looks like you certainly have some great inspirational KF books to read...enjoy hugs, Julierose
I missed mowing the lawn yesterday when the weather was great. Now it is supposed to be rain and thunderstorms all week so I don't know if I will get a chance in a while. I am glad you got a chance to do yours.
After the summer you have had with your landscaping ~ Pop Up Shop’ and creating quilt tops regularly. You deserve taking a day to mow your lawn and do some reading of your favorite books…
