Another quilted..................

It only took 8 years to get this one to the finish line.  I finished quilting at 11 last night so I will remove it from the longarm today.  Here is the post when the top was finished.

I also chose the binding for this one and cut the strips.

And of course I need a photo of something in my garden.  This zinnia was the prettiest of the ones in full bloom and it is slightly beyond its prime.

I can't wait to see the whole top quilted. It is gorgeous. I was away for 2 1/2 days last week and when I came back, it looks like someone took a blowtorch to all my flowers. The zinnias seemed to have survived as well as a few roses.

That is great you got another one quilted. Between the heat and the rain I never made a tour of the yard this weekend.

I loved this quilt when you showed it all those years ago. So vibrant and inspiring.

Love all of this... isn't it great to finish up a quilt that's been waiting a long time?? And it's stunning!
The border you chose for the pineapple works beautifully, and thanks for sharing your zinnia's dose of sunshine.
Well done!

Why does it take us so long to get them to the quilted stage? Piecing is so much more fun. I’m jealous of your pretty zinnias.

I love the one you've just quilted - that style of skinny strings with your color sense makes it SING! Happy binding . . .

So what if your quilt top was waiting in the wings 8 years… I’ve been following your blog for years and that is your rhythm on finishing your pieces of art, many times. And they are just as spectacular and timeless as ever, whenever you finish them.

And your golden zinnia is so pretty……. I have a window box full of marigolds that have made me smile every day with their golden glory. With them right up against the house I’m hoping they will last till thanksgiving.

I have admired that quilt top for years so I'm delighted you finished quilting it. Hooray! I'd never finish much if I still hand quilted.

LOL, I wrote this comment on the wrong blog post. I meant to post it here, instead posted it on the link for the 2013 post.

"Fantastic design, Wanda. Of course, you executed it perfectly. I'm saving it for inspiration for one of those "one day I'm going to make one...". I think it should become your #1 favorite! :):) "
