2 blocks..........

I tried to get inspired to cut and press fabric for a large backing yesterday but in the end I just spent the whole day cutting pieces for 3 quilts.  Last night I sewed 2 more postage stamp blocks.  I have miscounted the blocks three times now.  I thought I had 50 made but there are only 44 and I need 63 so I have 19 to go to finish that top in February.

Winter weather is back, snow overnight.  Now we will see how much will melt with temperatures slightly above freezing.

I am so glad to hear you say that you have miscounted your blocks - been there and done that! And I've been in a cutting/prepping mood lately - hard to sit and sew but the planning and organizing for future sewing is going full steam ahead. Such fun to seek out the many different fabrics in your postage stamp blocks (and yes, I do see some of mine in there - happy they are being useful).

Good morning Wanda. The snow outside is very heavy, so I hope you have someone that will clear your driveway, but am so happy we only got a little over 2 inches. Good day to stay inside and sew.

Winter weather back and you made the most of your day. And finishing up your day stitching those tiny squares is what I admire the most, for me that would be a bit trying, beginning of the day....... But so fun to look at, looking forward to seeing the entire layout.

You have more stick-to-it-iveness than I do, I guess.......that's one of the few designs of hers, in the solids and prints series, that I didn't care for. Send that zipper one my way if you ever get tired of IT !

Hi Wanda, I really like the postage stamp blocks and was wondering what your process is for making them. Do you sew rows first and then sew them together or do you make four patches and sew them together to make 16 patches, etc.
