November 2024 monthly recap...............

There were three finishes in Nov.  On the left, Sunday Only is 62" x 74", in the center Memories - 1956 which is 64.5" x 76.5".  On the right, just finished is Confetti, a postage stamp quilt which is 54.5" x 69.5".  All were quilted by Robin.

One quilt top....and that is a good thing.  I now have finished more than I have started this year.  This floral fabric top is 53.5" x 65.5"

Now for my own records, this quilt was started in 2019 and the top was finished in 2020.  It was inspired by this quilt.  It is 54.5" x 69.5".  I had so much fun making the blocks.

The back and binding are a white with black dots, a 59" wide fabric that I bought on sale a while back.  There is no name on the fabric and the print runs all the way to the edge of the fabric.  I know it looks gray here and that is because it almost an even amount of both white and black.  Click on the photo for a closer look at it.

I sewed some Sawtooth Star blocks last night but didn't take a photo yet.  I will probably get some more sewn today and will show all of them tomorrow.

I just had to take a close up shot of a new bloom on my newest cactus.  I have never seen one like this before.

Lovely November works!!:))) all those small triangles and sqs-- I especially love the Postage one--I made one years ago to gift...Perhaps one "pour moi" is in order? [I know, I said no more big quilts--!!:{{{ ] S I G H.... I like how you alternated a constant solid in each block--gives it a nice cohesive look....
23 degrees here this morning--and sunny...
Hugs for a good week Julierose

You had some great finishes last month, and more finished than started is definitely a good thing. The Postage Stamp quilt is my favorite of the group. I might have to consider that as a Rainbow Scrap Challenge option.

I like Sunday Only the best of your finishes but they are all wonderful :-) That bloom is gorgeous…..I went to Walmart and they had only a few cactus plants and all where a weird washed out orange-y color is very sad shape….I passed on getting one for $8+.

So those are 1" x1" finished squares? The quilt is beautiful. I don't know if I have the patience to make one.

Truly ‘needle works of art’ Wanda. A November to remember . I agree it is a lovely cactus blossom.

Love, love, love. BTW, I discovered a new Kaffe book -- table runners and such, published in July.

Fantastic finishes for November! I think my favorites are Only Sundays and the postage stamp.

Postage stamp for the sparkly color combinations. I know they don't really sparkle but that's the word that comes to my mind).

Only Sundays because when I look at it I find myself swaying back and forth making zoom-y noises like I'm in a race car on a twisty track as I look at the different directions the triangles go and coming to a screeching stop and taking off again at those light blocks. Yes, I do have an inner 5-year old that escapes sometimes :-)

That is a pretty cactus.

What exuberant quilts you finished in November, living up to your blog name for sure! All those happy colors in little and larger bits, placed with perfection. Applause!!
Your new cactus does have lovely blooms. That pale pink with the deeper pink border is lovely.
Stay warm!

Hugs!
