The backing shows here on the quilt that got quilted yesterday. It has yellow, orange and purple in it.
Here it is totally unrolled. This is a small quilt, just one fabric width for the backing.
I used a pastel variegated thread and ran out in the last row of loops. I finished with off white thread on the last row. I quilted it in rows of loops, one loop every 2". That worked out to one loop in squares and 3 loops in the rectagles.
Today I'll get a binding sewn on. First I have to find a fabric and I'll be looking for a medium purple.

It’s a sweet little quilt with a fun backing. I have one more quilt to load and quilt before the year ends. It’s a thank you gift for friends that hosted us at their vacation place in Idaho, just outside Yellowstone. We will see them when we fly to California to see my Dad Jan 2nd so I need to get moving ;-)
Lovely quilting on this bright and happy quilt, Wanda--love the plaid pattern with all those colors...have fun searching for the right binding in purple...
45 here, foggy again, and sporadically raining...
I sewed up a couple "baby" Ojos yesterday using up some leftover Christmassy colored fabrics...they measure 4" . Little cutoffs and strips...very relaxing...

Opening up to your blog was like seeing a fresh box of new crayons this morning. Colors so vivid and colorful . Your looping quilting ~ really brings out the fun thats fits this piece. And adding a sneak peek of the backing In your first photo was a bonus.
What a totally delightful and colorful quilt! The backing fabric and quilted loops add a dose of whimsy, too!
