30 blocks................

One more block finished, bottom right corner.  I have decided 30 blocks is enough so now I just need to decide on a final layout.

But then I decided to make one more block to replace one in the layout above, one that had a very light background.

I took out the block at the beginning of the second row and put in the extra block.  There is still one more block with a very light background that I may decide to replace.  I won't take that block apart, I'll just make a new one.  That is why I have 3 boxes of orphan blocks.

The red cactus is so pretty this year.

One more close up photo, just because it is so pretty.

I spent the morning yesterday going through my closet and pulling items to take to the thrift shop.  I made the trip to the shop right away so I won't change my mind on any of the items.  I had a few household items already chosen to add to the load.

Such pretty stars in this quilt--it is looking beautiful, Wanda!!
I don't have one single bloom on my cacti as yet---of course because we re-arranged the furniture in that room they have been jostled and moved around a lot!!
29 here on a windy, sunny morning...hugs, Julierose

Love those stars, and wow on your cactus! Congrats on your closet sorting. We are off to Goodwill today with a few strands of perfectly good Christmas lights we no longer have the energy to put up outside and some still-nice Christmas balls. We've carted them around way too long!

Consider keeping the two light ones in? but not on the edge... They add brightness to the whole. :)

That new star is really pretty! And your decision to go straight to the thrift store is a good one. Delays can easily cause second thoughts!

Pretty stars and cactus! Every day on my way to the mailbox I see that poor giant California poppy frozen and sad. I did find a source for seeds so I am going to try to be diligent and have them all over my beds. I have some serious weeding to do in the big bed next spring; things kind of got away from me.

This is one tantalizing quilt top, so full of floral sparkle. And your cactus blossom is indeed worthy of two photos today.

Loving the stars - lovely color selection. Do you feed your cactus special stuff when they are not blooming?? They are outstanding!

Wanda, this is sooo pretty. An imitation is now on my Make list. And I might just have to keep it for me:)
