Merry Christmas!

This is a photo I took in 2009 and turned into a Christmas card in 2013.  This is the white Christmas we rarely get any more so I enjoy this photo.

I have a couple cacti in bloom, technically the Thanksgiving cactus.  This is my orange one but the camera likes to make it more coral.  Whatever you call the color, it is pretty and I'm happy to still have some blooms.

When I buy a larger pot of Thanksgiving cactus it usually is just a big pot full of a lot of small plants.

I split my red cactus into 4 pots earlier this year and this is the last of the 4 pieces to bloom.  Only one bloom this time.  It is red and white.

Yesterday I spent a couple hours looking through all of the free Tilda quilt patterns online.  I was looking for one that had bigger pieces for some fussy cut blocks.  I also didn't want one that would take me months to make.  I downloaded the Whimsy quilt pattern and printed out the only page I need.  I went back to the download and wrote the sizes of the pieces in the block on the page.  Last night I decided to finish the dishcloth that was on the needles and when I placed it on the fabrics to take the photo, I realized it matches the blues in the Tilda fabrics.

Just love your Merry Christmas photo…. A beautiful blanket of snow. We too do not have a flake of snow in our valley. Your cactus blossoms are so pretty and dish cloth and fabrics were made for each other. Great post today and wishes for a Merry Christmas and Healthy New Year.

Merry Christmas to you, Wanda -- my second cactus is the same color as the coral/salmon one you showed here and the first flower is opening today.

I was celebrating Christmas with my daughter yesterday, so I didn' t read about your van reaching 20+ yrs. Remarkable. I have 3 or 4 Thanksgiving cacti in bloom right now and my 3 genuine Christmas cacti are all budded and just staring to bloom. Merry Christmams, Wanda. I bet everyone enjoyed all your delicious cookies and snacks.

Merry Christmas, Wanda, and I so enjoy your lovely cacti and their delightful colors!
We had a wonderful time with the kids today and our unusual Christmas dinner of Apricot Chicken done in the crock pot with both brown and white rice to serve it over, green beans, buttered corn, and corn pudding. Dessert was Blue Bell's Peppermint Ice Cream. Yum!

Hugs!
