I sorted the Tidla fabrics into 4 groups of value to prepare for cutting for the Whimsy Quilt (free Tilda pattern). I haven't pressed them yet so now I'll press them by value groups and do the cutting of each group as soon as they are pressed.
Next to move off the table was the box of 3" finished triangles that I cut from waste pieces (from cutting quarter square triangles on the die cutter) when I was cutting for the hourglass blocks in the quilt top I finished last month.
I ended up with 19 stacks of 4 alike. I'm not sure what quilt they will go into but at least they are sewn and ready. One more thing off the table.
I think I'll finish the floral sawtooth star quilt top next month. I think I have decided no sashing between blocks but haven't made a firm decision on whether there will be a border, and if it would be a pieced border or strips. I'm most likely to do a pieced border that can be sewn while I'm webbing the top (like I did last month on the hourglass quilt top).

You've gotten a lot off the table, Wanda--nice to get things organized. 20 here this morning--hoping to see the temps go up a bit so we can walk outside today. It will be quiet again
here as------
My son won't be coming anytime soon as Willa slipped on ice walking the dog yesterday and dislocated and broke her collarbone!!
They pretty much spent all day in ER and now at home hoping to get to see an ortho MD this morning to decide surgery or not!! Poor mite--such pain and only tylenol....she is tucked up on the sofa with ice packs..
She is the "sporty" one; always in soccer, snowboarding, etc--but doesn't ever get hurt --and now just a walk and the ice did her in!!
Scarey...
We are all waiting to hear...
hugs, Julierose
The Whimsy pattern will be so pretty with those fabrics. Hope you had a lovely Christmas.
lots of fun ideas to go into the new year,I'm hoping to get all UFO's finished up by the end of February lol
pretty fabric - so often the table has to be cleaned off so work can be done
You keep your studios humming along without skipping a beat. I enjoyed each photo and explanations of what is coming next.
Progress comes in many forms. I like that you paired and sewed those HSTs instead of just putting them back in a box.
Love your forward thinking and planning for future quilt like all of those lovely new HSTs now waiting their turn.
If I find some energy, I may yet make the Spritz cookies.
Hugs!
The fabric is so pretty!
Off the table is a step closer to being under the needle! The floral HSTs have such potential.....
