The binding is finished on 3 of the 4 Christmas table runners, two shown here. The largest one is left to do.
There wasn't much to take photos of yesterday. I did a load of laundry and went grocery shopping. I ran totally out of sugar making one last batch of Norwegian Kringlas yesterday. So far I have used 4 1/2 pounds of butter (Land o' Lakes) and 4 pounds of sugar in all of my baking. I think I'm done baking....but I'm never sure. I have a good assortment of snack size bags of treats in the freezer.

What lucky recipients of your butter and sugar treats! I made dough for sugar cookies and Danish kringle last night.
I may have gained a couple of pounds reading this post. Having snack size bags in the freezer is a good idea.
cute placemats....i have a pie and cake to go then i'm done
The table runners are beautiful! I think my family is coming the 29th for Christmas so I won't make or bake much for a few more days. Butter was on sale here 2 for $7.00 again so I bought a few more pounds. One can never have too much butter!
WOW--lotsa butter and sugar--I'll bet your treats are just delish!! Nothing like real butter...;))) I will make my brownies today and decided on a banana cream pie...then two casseroles to be made...
then I'll be done with baking...
Only 6 degrees when we went to grocery this morning...bitterly
cold out there...thankfully not much wind though...
I hope your Christmas is a wonderful one;))) Hugs, Julierose
Good thing your freezer full of goodies is far away . . . else I'd be tempted to stop by for a treat (grin). LOVELY runners - there are so many different fabrics to look at.
we do go through a lot of sugar, butter and flour when we bake - I still have plenty left but I bought too much to begin with.
I went to the library yesterday to pick up some books on hold -- and came back with four cookbooks, all baking, from the new book shelf!
Your binding frames your table runners so beautifully. And what a busy Sunday for everyone it sounds like. Here too, the days aren’t long enough for me anymore.
I made your English Toffee this morning. I sat it on the porch to cool (around 50° here.). Enjoy the family.
Your Christmas table runners are lovely and well done in getting all that baking and mixing finished. You're way ahead of me.
Hugs!
Those are some fast finishes! They turned out really nice.
I LOVE your table runners...makes me think I should get out some of my Christmas scraps and make one! You always inspire me with your posts. Happy Christmas!
