Little butterflies...................

It took 2 hours to sew 30 Broken Dishes Hourglass blocks, 2" finished size.  This is a possible layout.  I'll know more after I start assembling parts of it.  There will be spacers of the same background fabric between the 'little butterflies'.

I spent an hour with garden clean up yesterday.  It was cool enough that I needed a jacket.  There were quite a few branches to pick up as well as pulling out the spreading bellflowers and goldenrod.  I think I'll go out and clip the dead flower stalks on the hostas this year.  I read you should cut your Hosta plants down to the ground in late fall/early winter.  I have never done that and have great success with them not doing it.

Oh such a nice addition of those "little butterflies", Wanda--they look super flitting about in between;)))
34 this morning and our heat came on...thankfully!!
We have a plumber coming this morning to fix a bathroom issue...also thankfully!!

Your little butterflies are perfect for that layout. My hosta cut itself down during the drought. It will be interesting to see if it comes back next spring.

This is going to be so pretty! Still quite warm here, but we are expecting a slight cooldown and maybe some moisture this week.

I love this! Colourful (of course!), happy, uplifting! What method did you use to make so many little flitters in 2 hours?
