If you look at the left side of the pot, that is a hole dug by a critter, most likely chipmunk. It's amazing that he left my 2 little Viola plants alone.
This is the yellow Coneflower plant. This is the first year for such good growth. What amazes me is that it has sent up 2 new buds. The rest of the blooms are dried seedheads at this point.
The red Coneflower has been sending up new buds for about a month now. There are 2 small buds in this photo as well as full blooms and dried seedheads. We have had above normal temperatures for several weeks.
I was excited to see I have a bonus Columbine over by the Hydrangea bush.
There are two late season blooms on the Cranesbill. Most of the plants are going into their fall stage now.
I cleaned up the area around a small scroungy Weigela bush. I broke off all of the dead branches and now a friend is going to cut it off close to the ground. My other 3 Weigelas do great but this one has always been spindly.

I'm afraid my plants aren't looking too great. They have been neglected and the weather is so dry I can't keep on watering everything as much as it needs.
Your garden looks lovely as it heads into fall. It is so dry here, everything is burning up. It is pointless to even use our sprinklers, it seems wasteful so we don't. Praying for rain, but none on the horizon.
The yellow coneflower has gotten big! I noticed last evening that one of my coneflowers looks like it is sending up a new flower bud. Also, my oldest Lenten Rose is in a spot that get the hot afternoon sun for a few hours and it's leaves are burnt. Last night I noticed it is getting some new leaves in the center of the plant.
I finally got my plants ready for the winter. Been dry here in southern Oklahoma with temperatures in the 80's and 90's. Guess we are not having fall this year.
So nice to see some blossoms in your garden…. Our smokey summer is now a smokey autumn. A nasty forest fire near the Idaho, Montana line with smoke boiling over into our valley so thick and murky it’s unhealthy to go outside. So I don’t. .
