Another old WIP.......................

I posted this photo in 2008 and mentioned that I had made the blocks a couple years before that.  There was a line of fabrics by SSI that was called Kid Stuff. I have a large collection of these fabrics plus some others that go well with them.  I have considered putting them in a de-stash sale and I think I have a plan for how much of it I need to keep now.

I took a new photo of the completed blocks.  I need to come up with a plan and get these made into a baby quilt with lots of the other prints.

I added a few dotted fabrics to the mix too.  These pieces were in the bag with the book and the blocks.

I have one more project that the blocks are made for that I could also work on.  The only problem here is I'm making more tops instead of finishing some quilts.

I finished my baking around 3 yesterday and then delivered all of the treats to the house where the family will be staying.  I had plenty that I could stash in my freezer too.  Now I have a good variety of desserts for the next month or two.

Well, yes, you’ll be making more tops but you will be reducing the started projects inventory. I think tops are better than UFO’s and if you have a plan and want to make them, then I say have fun with them :-)

That's a gorgeous quilt! I just went back and read your post from yesterday to see why you were baking. Bet you're really looking forward to the weekend!

Such pretty blocks--just perfect for a child's quilt with all those vibrant butterflies--;)))
41 here this morning--I will be doing our grocery run a bit later and picking up a pre-cooked chicken--just the right size for the two of us.
Hugs for a super weekend...Julierose

the butterfly blocks look great and will be very nice for a baby/child quilt

I love your butterfly’s, especially the fabrics with the wavy designs for their wings. Happy you decided to make a baby quilt with them.

I still have a fair amount of Kid Stuff prints, too. Those kids are now through college.... This is a piecing month for me as well.

What gloriously colorful butterflies and what an enchanting quilt can be made with them! Have fun!
There are always wonderful places to donate quilts for kids, too.

Hugs!
