Choosing pieces...........

I went through all of my small pieces of Marcia Derse fabric for candidates to cut the chisel shape from. Did I ever tell you how much I love my stash?  I have a lot of things to press so I'll turn the iron on today and these will get pressed and cut.

I cut the flannel backings for 2 of the pink quilts.  I looked through my other fabrics for the back of the largest pink quilt and I have 2 chosen and will make my decision when I'm ready to quilt it in May.

Then I mowed my grass.  The neighbors on both sides of me had mowed theirs Friday and yesterday so I have to keep up with them.  The neighbor on the north mows all the way up to my house and saves me mowing a section about 10' wide from my driveway to the back of my lot.

I have had to cut grass off and on now for part of the yard but I have a large section that is very slow to grow and always is but it is more woodsy and doesn't need it often.
We have our grandson stopping by for visit this morning on his way back to his military base - well be the first time we have seen him in 2 years it will be a short safe visit - but feel better about it since we are vaccinated.
Love all your fabric that you always show - you are lucky to have such a stash

You 'love your stash'? I would never have guessed haha. I always love seeing you pull out fabrics to audition for a new project, a never ending pleasure of which to choose. Todays choice for me is the purples, reds and orange - happy sewing Sunday Wanda :)

Wanda, what a fun splash of colors to choose from! And isn't it great to have good neighbors? I bet you spoil them with your baking goodies!

How neat that you love your stash so much!! ;)))
I am of two minds about my stash....
There are things I don't think I will use--but then I am not quite sure...
I think I have to bite the bullet and purge a bit.

Part of the problem is not knowing what I want to make next --either type or size...big quilts are really hard for me to handle these days...so I am drastically reducing sizes of projects...that definitely leads to a different mind set...and I haven't become comfortable or accustomed to this as yet...
Hugs, Julierose

I am glad you have a stash you can shop from. Love seeing all the pieces pulled out, love that I don't have to put them away. Hancocks of Paducah has some Marcia Derse on sale for $6.99, just saying.

I haven't been replying to posts whilst my hand was playing up but I have been reading them. I love your pink zig zag quilt, and your orphan block in the process of being designed. So good to see your garden coming to life, ours is just going to sleep!

I love your stash too! Your variety of fabrics and the sheer quantity is very much admired! That is nice your neighbor mows that area for you. There is a pie wedge grass area between my one neighbor and me and even though I already mowed it, he mowed the whole thing again. I like to leave my grass a bit longer and then he comes along and mows my side down to the root. Ugh!!! It makes me want to put up a fence.
