First quilt top finish for May 2020................

Last seams are sewn.  All that is left is staystitching around the outside edge so the stitching doesn't pop on the seam ends.  It is 64.5" x 80".  As I look at the photo I'm wondering if I should move the alternate fabric block at the lower left into the bottom row since there isn't one in that row.

I picked a little bouquet since a freeze warning was in effect last night.

Six more masks were sewn while I watched TV last night.

Pretty quilt and pretty masks too. Your flowers must be glad you saved them from the cold.

You may have mentioned this in an earlier blog, but where are you getting the elastic for your masks? Also, what are the dimensions for the fabric you cut for them?
I have made some masks using t-shirts cut into 1 inch strips for ties, but would like to make some more with elastic and I only had a small package to use.

No - you have two other rows evenly spaced without alternate blocks, and this one "fits" that repetition. Looks great!

I think moving that one block would good. If you notice it now you will always notice it. Miriam

Your quilt looks fantastic! I wouldn't want to take it apart to change it. Lovely flowers. They look just as pretty inside as outside.

What Quiltdivajulie said. Unless you want 3 rows with the alternate fabric block at the bottom so there's top-bottom symmetry of rows with and without? OTOH, I didn't notice, and had to look a while, until you mentioned it. sigh... looks like a good laundry day - I seem to be a bit wishy-washy. :-)

Or if you reallyreally want it symmetrical top-bottom, you *could* take out the top left alternate block and replace it with a 16 patch...

I love this.

Leave the blocks as is. You have a 1,1,2,0,2,0,2,0 pattern with the alternate block. It seems fine to me. Not random and not too fussy either. I like it.

Those blocks came together beautifully, Wanda. Nice work!

I don't think the block needs to be moved, it looks beautifully balanced just as is!

I love the quilts that you make, colorful and cozy and fun. Great combination. Question what size do you make the Small squares. Just curious. Might try making a few and see where it leads me. like your use of the African fabrics also.. And think I might have some in a "box" somewhere. One clearing, cleaning project of the studio. And clearing of Binders from the early 90's of Quilt Retreats and starts.
Goal to really get to work on left out projects. but after the baby quilt that is due. Not the baby she was born 2 years ago.
Just will make the quilt bigger! Hate to rush into projects.

Good for you to get that top all sewn together.
