This top is sewn but needs its final pressing so I'll do that today and then photograph it.
After that was done I sewed the binding on the floral hourglass quilt. I was happy I had more of the same fabric I used for binding on the other 1990s floral quilt.
You can see the print better in this photo. It will be machine finished so I hope to get it done today too.
My two cacti plants by the east picture window are finally blooming. This is the third time for the white with pink edging, but just one bloom each of the last 2 times. The other is the dark rose color and it isn't opened fully yet.
I checked the orange one again, by the west picture window and there are 2 more buds and another bloom. I would have been disappointed it this one didn't bloom a second time because it always has in previous years. I turned the pot around so I can enjoy the blooms more. They were originally facing the window.

Great binding fabric--just perfect for that piece!!
Your Cacti are so prolific--Mine are stubbornly refusing to bloom...
35 here today; working on organizing my craft supplies...

Looking forward to the quilt top photos for the "other" sixteen patch - I'm hatching a plan to make one your staggered versions using KF strips that have been accumulating in the stash. Love the close up floral quilt teaser photo and I still have a few blooms and buds on my cacti which makes me happy.
That’s a great binding for that quilt. Your cacti flowers all look so pretty. I love the color of that first pink edged one.
Your blog sure shows how busy your days are in your studios. What you are working on and then turn around and post it for the next day always is a treat to see every morning. . . Love the binding on your floral top.
three times blooming for that one is really good. I think I had a 3rd time blooming for several of mine last year but it was in late summer outside which seems like surprised me as it had not done that before. That binding fabric looks great with it.
So good you found more of that fabric for the binding. It is a sweet little print!
Forgot to say, I now get it, that is getting excited seeing the Christmas cactus blooming! The first thing I do when I get home from work is go visit mine to see how it has changed.
Finishes in sight! It's fun to see what comes out of those various boxes and bags in your stash.
The other nine patch photo shows the MD fabrics better as the prints look richer, like you had mentioned. You are getting quite the flower show from your cacti!
