Quilting the table runner............................

Finally I tackled the machine quilting on the table runner made with Marcia Derse fabric.  I ditch quilted the four crazy pieced blocks and the seam where the borders were sewn on.

There is usually one large print that is offered with each of her lines of fabric.  I had just a half yard of this one and it makes an interesting backing.  I need to put a couple lines of quilting in the borders and then trim and do the binding.

It got up to 80 degrees yesterday and was still 68 degrees at bedtime.  One quick storm came through around 9 p.m.

Great finish! Our weather hasn't settled down yet it's been in the 90's & back on as low as 50's at night, there's talk of another freeze coming through

That backing is so fun! If you would have to piece it the seam wouldn't show. It was windy here last night, but the temps stayed in the low 60's which is fine with me.

Oh, wow! That busy print is great for the back. (Don't know how it could be incorporated on the front--doesn't look as though it would retain much when cut up.) I had a great walk with warm temps yesterday. They say we may have snow at the end of the week!

With that amazing back, you can use this runner either way up. Just wonderful!!

The backing for your table runner is as festive as the top. A fun piece to add to any table.

What a fun backing. In the past, I didn’t think much about backing, just used all the same small scale print, then I started franken-piecing them, then started looking specifically for fun fabrics for backing. You and Julie have been great influences on me 😁

Warm here today, too. Rode to Nashville and back; the dogwoods along the way were showing there best.

that is making up a good table runner. I like the colors. You had it as warm as we did!
