Starting the Hunter Star........
Yesterday I cut 8 more Australian fabrics for my Hunter Star. I paired the fabrics, 12 sets of them and started sewing the pieces. After I sew all of these I will decide what other fabrics I want to add or which ones I want to repeat. I didn't want to turn on the iron yet with so few pieces sewn so the large triangle isn't sewn onto the other piece yet. I can cut GO dies on my Studio cutter with an adapter. The GO dies come with a sewing diagram which I needed for this block.

I didn't realize that the star is a secondary pattern.
Well, I sure didn't expect the block to look like this. I'm like Gene, didn't know the star was a secondary block. Waiting to see more Wanda.
Very interesting fabrics!
Can't WAIT to see this one come together!! I've always loved the Hunter Star quilt pattern. Haven't been will to attempt one... yet.
I can see how you need high contrast between the fabrics.
Looks good so far. I am taking your cue for my next project....make a few, see what works, and be prepared to cut more:) Thanks.
Love love love AccuQuilt. I made a red and white Hunters Star recently with the GO! die. It went together like butter.
This has always been one of my favorite patterns. I can't wait to see yours.
The Studio dies are on sale, BOGO, but not the the GO. I would love the Flowering snowball one. Can't wait to see the sewn block.
I'm looking forward to watching the Hunter Star develop, the fabrics look good together.
