16 more.............

After grocery shopping yesterday morning I turned on the iron and pressed the backing for the pastel 16 patch and the fabric for the rest of these heart blocks.  Then I cut the 16 blocks here, 2 in each of the 8 stacks.  When I get these pressed and added to the design wall I will have 8 across and 9 down, 72 blocks which if it was sewn, would only be 48" x 54", or I could do 7 across and 10 down for 42" x 60" with 2 blocks left over.

If I make it one row longer for 8 x 10 I could make blocks of 4 hearts with 1.5" sashing and increase the size to 55.5" x 69".

In the meantime I'll cut more Snail's Trail blocks and probably move those blocks to a design wall in the basement so I can expand the heart quilt on the wall in my main floor studio.

P.S. I love math.

I love math too! It seems like most quilters either love it or hate it.
Your heart blocks are going to make a beautiful quilt!

More pretty pink blocks! Math and quilting do compliment each other. Fractions sure come into play a lot!

Love your hearts. I sometimes think I spend more time on the maths than making the quilt (LOVE the maths!)

I’m thinking your heart quilt top will be done for Valentine’s Day … 7 days away . Thats as far as my math goes for today (*._.*)

Love all your combinations you’ve sewn for this piece.

Beautiful hearts!! Yikes, I run from math because I know I make such dumb mistakes even when trying not to.
