3 blocks to go............

I sewed 2 more 36 patch blocks and the green block in the top left corner.  Then I added a strip into the bottom right block.  I moved a couple blocks to new positions.  After I finish all of the blocks I will take the remainder of the 4.5" strips and cut the 4.5" squares that go around the perimeter.  I just have to decide if it will be one row or 2 rows so I know how many to cut.

My backyard is a beautiful gold.  The maple tree has lost about half of its leaves so the ground is gold too.  The tree will probably be bare in a couple days.

It looks like you are close to having the Gridlock quilt top almost done. I can imagine that it is so much prettier than the picture.

I like how that quilt is taking shape. It's very pretty with all the color and movement. What a beautiful view of your yard with all that lovely golden color!

Your posts always brighten my day… Grid Lock continues to fascinate me, and I look forward to your last three blocks.

Always fun to see how your season is compared to ours.

You are making such great progress on these, Wanda--you are really so productive!! We have all golden trees now and some really brownish-red--almost maroon-leaves at the tippy-tops of the old tall oaks...so pretty at sunset Hugs for a good upcoming weekend Julierose

Wanda, so very sorry I missed your birthday post, I have missed blog reading over the past few days I'm afraid but sending belated best wishes to you! Congratulations on another stunning colorwash and your progress with Gridlock - almost there now! It's always a pleasure to see the Fall colours in you posts at this time of year, the maple leaves truly are a wonderful gold colour.
