#1 finish for February 2020...........

This is my Valentine quilt this year.  It has 19 hearts hidden in the piecing, some more obvious than others.  The fabrics are all Australian.  It is 54" x 68" and designing was started in August 2017.  I almost gave up on it after the 2nd day of playing at the design wall in 2017.  The last hand stitches in the binding were done last night.
The back is pieced from one full width and 2 long leftover strips from other backings.

This is my 4th quilt made with Australian fabrics and I still have a stack a foot high of the fabrics.

This is the first quilt I made with the Australian fabric, the top made in 2014 and quilted in 2017.

This Hunter Star quilt top was finished at the beginning of Oct. 2017.  I sold this top.

This triangle quilt made with Australian fabrics was pieced in 2017 and quilted in 2018.  I added in a few fussy cut squares when I got tired of sewing triangles.  I sold this finished quilt.  This one is the only one that I used all of the colors in.  I need to make another one with the full variety.

Wanda,
Your work is awesome! Some day I want to be like you. I can't go a day without reading your blog.
Will you be doing a trunk show anytime soon? I wanted to go a year or two ago.
But the weather was rotten.
Thank you for sharing your quilts with us.

Congratulations getting that quilt done! It turned out beautiful! I only have four pieces of Australian fabric. My brother brought them back from Australia when he was on tour there. So I don't have enough to make a quilt; maybe I need to invest in more.

All of these are beautiful - and the pieced back adds so much. You are amazing!

Oh, the allure of specialty prints! So easy to acquire, so hard to cut. Now I have an idea for a "cultural diversity" quilt that mixes specialty genres.....

And what a spectacular valentine quilt it is too ! Fun looking for all the hearts and I found every one. (^._.^). Your Australian fabrics are quite intriguing. You surely didn't get them at your local Joann's did you ?

Congrats on another lovely quilt finish. Especially sweet since it was a long term UFO!

Congratulations on a finish! Feels good, doesn't it? The quilt is very intriguing and interesting. I have a few prints from another country but not enough to really make something big. I'm still looking for that perfect small project (maybe a bag) to use them in. There's still time and I'm in no hurry.
