Basting..............

I'm happy so many people enjoyed the posts the last 2 days.  I have wanted to have all of the collages in one spot for a long time so this week was the time to do it.

I did lots of cutting of triangles yesterday and then basted this quilt for next in line to finish.  I want to quilt it on my straight stitch machine.

My grandson from Colorado was home for his dad's birthday yesterday so we had our party last night.  My son is 59 this year, hard to believe.  My grandson will be 30 in 2 weeks.  My other grandson will be 30 in March so 3 grandchildren will be over 30.  It just doesn't seem possible.

I love the blocks in the middle but I don't remember seeing you sew these together; was it a long time ago? I know the feeling about where does time go - my daughter was 56 this year and my G.daughter will be 30 in October. It's good to have those memories of them growing up, at least the ones I can remember haha :)

Good morning Wanda. I really like the depth perception this pattern gives, and am going to take some blocks I have already made and cut them into quarters. I don't remember seeing this quilt before. Is it an older one?
Time sure does pass us by, much faster than I would like. The oldest of our 4 children is 64 and the youngest will be 59 tomorrow, but I'm thankful we're still around to enjoy all the grandchildren, as well as their children. We are truly blessed. Enjoy your day.

Well I'm one of your followers that remembers this quilt in the works, plus when you auditioned the grape border. Love the tiny border insert with the wide border. That fabric truly frames and adds to the beauty of the center blocks.

Bet you had a happy time with the family, the years pass so very quickly unbelievable to read that you have grandsons of 30 yrs, I thought I was doing well with the eldest grand-daughter at 20 yrs.
You have a delicious looking quilt basted, lovely mix of colours and the border fabric looks good!
