While cleaning off tables in the basement I did a little cutting for the next project and also for the postage stamp quilt.
This is my one lonely cactus bloom. There aren't any buds on any of the other plants and only this one on this plant. I knew when they almost all bloomed at the same time earlier this winter that there would be a dry spell.
This noisy crow sat in the tree outside my kitchen window and let the neighborhood know he was here.
February is more than half over already. For the people with Leap Year Day birthdays it probably doesn't get to the end fast enough, after all they have waited 4 years for a birthday.

I was surprised when my cactus bloomed again. It went without watering for a month while we were vacationing and apparently that's what it needed!
Such a nice display of your very pretty cut fabrics. I'm always jealous of your cactus blossoms. And a crow is a crow. (^._,^) That is one bird we have in the mountains also. But would love to have your cardinals.

I love your new selection of fabrics so another new project to look forward to. My daughter bought me a small cactus for xmas and it's still growing haha - I've been careful about watering it and resisted for a couple of weeks and I keep feeling the soil to make sure it's damp. When do you water yours in the winter?
Nice fabrics ready for the next projects. My one lonely cactus is in the quiet phase, I think when they're next in bloom I may buy another one, there are such lovely colours available.
